If you’ve played Old School RuneScape long enough, you’ve probably ended up wandering around aimlessly at some point, asking yourself why everything looks the same. Welcome to Great Kourend. And if you’re trying to reach osrs hosidius, you’re not alone. Everyone’s been there, squinting at the map and wondering what they missed. Getting to Hosidius isn’t complicated. But it can be annoying if you go in unprepared. So here’s the simple route, minus the waffle. You’ll see it’s not that complicated.
Use the Boat, Seriously, It’s the Simplest Start
Head to Port Sarim. Talk to Veos. The guy’s always there, waiting for a reason to sail someone across. He’ll drop you off in Port Piscarilius. That’s your starting point on the continent. Now here’s where most people mess up. They don’t zoom out. One quick look at your minimap and you’ll notice you’re far north of Hosidius. Get walking south. Or better yet, bring some stamina potions and a good pair of legs. It’s not glamorous, but it works. And you won’t get lost if you just follow the coastline and cut in at the right moment.

Teleport Options Exist, If You’re Ready for Them
If you’ve made some progress in Kourend, use a Kourend teleport. There’s also Xeric’s Talisman, which lets you teleport directly to Glade, dropping you near Hosidius with almost zero effort. Here’s the catch: these aren’t available to brand-new accounts. If you’re still wet behind the ears, stick with the boat for now. But if you’ve got the talisman or access to teleport tablets, use them. No shame in skipping the walking tour.
Why Go to Hosidius at All?
Good question. Farming, cooking, favour quests, and Hosidius has its perks. It’s also where players grind rep to access higher-level content in the region. You’ll need to earn favour anyway if you want to do anything meaningful across Kourend. And let’s not ignore the Tithe Farm. It’s the farming minigame that’ll test your patience and inventory management. Love it or hate it, it’s one of those things that’ll sneak up on your To-Do list eventually.
Bring What You Need Before You Go
Don’t show up empty-handed. This isn’t Varrock. Shops are sparse, and banks can be a trek if you’re underprepared. Bring teleport runes, food, and anything you’ll need for skilling or favour-grinding. Hosidius is less about flashy buildings and more about function. You’ll find kitchens, farms, and quest points, just not a lot of quick conveniences. Prepare accordingly, or you’ll be making the trip twice.

You’ll Get the Hang of It
The first time getting to Hosidius feels like a wild goose chase. The second time? Still mildly confusing. But after that, it clicks. And once you’ve unlocked better transport methods, it becomes a breeze. Just stick with it. No one memorises Kourend overnight. You’ll get there. Then you’ll forget how confusing it used to be. Until then, talk to Veos, walk with purpose, and maybe stop clicking the same tile five times.
